Protective footwear shall be accompanied by a certificate of product qualification and an instruction manual. Before use, carefully read the instruction manual in accordance with the specific conditions of use and ensure that the footwear is used correctly. The selection and maintenance of protective footwear should be based on the nature and severity of hazards present in the working environment. For special types of protective footwear, inspect them after each use, keep them clean, and store them in a dry, contamination-free location.
(1) In addition to selecting the appropriate type of protective footwear based on the working conditions, it is also important that the shoes fit well and feel comfortable when worn. Therefore, you should carefully choose the right shoe size.
(2) Protective footwear with various different performance levels must meet the technical specifications for their respective protective functions—for example, preventing toe injuries, protecting the soles from punctures, and providing electrical insulation. However, safety shoes are not a panacea.
(3) After use, protective shoes should be properly stored. Rubber shoes should be rinsed with clean water or a disinfectant and allowed to air dry to extend their service life.
(4) Before using protective footwear, carefully inspect or test it. In electrical and acid-alkali operations, damaged or cracked protective footwear poses a significant hazard.
(5) Protective footwear must feature an anti-slip design—not only to protect feet from injury but also to prevent accidents caused by operators slipping.
